Making Safe Decisions
95% of all road accidents are caused by driver error. This means that 95% of accidents could have been prevented if the person at the wheel had behaved differently.
To help reduce the number of accidents, The Police Foundation have developed a system known as the system of car control. The system aims to help drivers avoid causing accidents, and to anticipate the hazards that other road users can create.
In this section, we'll look at the hazards you're faced with when you're on the road, and how the system of car control helps reduce the chances of getting into an accident.
