Why is Driving Safely Important?

Any car accident can have serious, potentially fatal, consequences.

As well as the damaging physical and psychological effects of road trauma, motor vehicle incidents can result in:

• Lost revenue

• Lower productivity

• Increased worker compensation claims, and

• Higher insurance premiums

 

 

As a result, driving safely is an extremely important part of workplace health and safety.

In this section of the course, we'll look at what the risk of an accident is, and where the risks are highest.
